#1: The uploading of avatars has been discontinued. I forget to back-up images. Upload it to an image host and link it in your profile. Or choose one of our 900 stock avatars or no avatar at all.

#2: "Display Name" changes are no longer being accepted. The name you picked is the one you got... Period!

Edit 2:
Several forums have been set to "auto expire" topics at between 180 and 360 days. You will see:
"Post's auto expire after XXX day's inactivity." At the top of that forum/sub-forum's index. This is a measure to save database back-up download size.

Thank you for you time.

Because of some recent "house cleaning"(75MB off the database) VIP's are not seeing new posts tracked on the forum index.
This is because I purged the "last visit time" table from the database (it was huge not as large as the "private topic" table but close!)
FiX:
Goto "User CP"-->click "Mark All Read"-->click "Toggle" to select them all -->click on "Continue" The script will mark all threads as "Read" and return you to the index.

Goto "Help"-->click "My Cookie Utility"-->click "Expire Cookies" When done logoff of the forum.

Summer Sim 2010
notice.gif
Posted on: 12-03-09 01:07 AM     Posted by: The Boss

We are pleased to announce to the flight simulation community, that the Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford in the United Kingdom, have once again offered their base to be the venue for next year's show. Summer Sim 2010, as it will be known, will once again be taken to this fantastic museum in the heart of Shropshire.

John Marshall Managing Director of Astrasim Expo Ltd commented on the announcement "this is a real window of opportunity for the community not only in the UK but beyond, to come together and display all that is good about flight simulation".

The big news is that next year all non profit organisations including the likes of virtual airlines, air traffic control, cockpit builders, will be allowed to exhibit for FREE. This will help bring the community closer together open new partnerships between the different organisations and most importantly introduce the public to the exciting and varied world of flight simulation.

John also said "the 2009 event had to be cancelled; it had become apparent that market forces were not only against us but other industries, in what has been a very testing time economically for all companies.

With the new business model we now have in place and at last some light on the horizon for many, we are confident and believe we can deliver a world class show to the flight simulation community in 2010".

Further details will be made available via the official show web site on exhibiting, trade and public visitors to the event.
